All-Inclusive Honeymoon Packages, Resorts, and Vacations

Honeymoons are meant for spoiling the happy new couple as they enter an exciting new stage in their relationship. Luxury, comfort, and romance are usually at the top of any honeymooner’s list of priorities. Of course, pampering isn’t limited to just honeymoons, extending to all vacations. After months of work, many people do not want to have to do more work for what is supposed to be the time to relax. All-inclusive resorts and hotels with special packages are one way for people to avoid extra stress in planning the details of a relaxing getaway.

Benefits of going all-inclusive

  • No planning: Honestly, planning a vacation can be taxing. People leaving work Friday to start a weekend vacation may not have the luxury of planning last-minute emergency details. All-inclusive packages typically reduce the amount of snags in the road, so to speak, making travel that much less stressful.
  • Stay within budget: Vacations can quickly add up expenses and budgeting out details weeks, even months, in advance can be incredibly stressful. Many packages give you pricing options that can help people stick within their budgets while also offering plenty of benefits and fun activities.
  • Transportation covered: Worrying about taxi fares, safety, and getting lost is a common concern, particularly if someone is vacating in an unfamiliar place. With an all-inclusive package, travelling is reduced as there are plenty of excellent activities to do right there at the resort.

Factors worth keeping in mind

There are plenty of resorts available in Mexico and the Caribbean alone; narrowing options down can certainly be daunting. Deciding the purpose and needs of any particular getaway, however, is one way to narrow down options. Different types of all-inclusives include: Romantic, beachfronts, kid friendly, luxury, adult only, and boutique. The following are just a few examples of some popular destinations with all-inclusive packages:

Bahamas (Nassau) – The Sandals Company has two resorts in the Bahamas. One is the Sandals Royal Bahamian and the other is the Sandals Emerald Bay on Exuma. Emerald Bay has an oceanfront with clear, blue water, making it an appealing option for many. Sandals also offers specialty restaurants like their seafood restaurant, Barefoot By the Sea, and their French restaurant, La Parisienne, as well as house wines at no extra cost. Other benefits include live bands, a chocolate buffet night, and an 18-hole golf course. Prices start at $1,287 per night.

Bermuda – Grotto Bay Beach is one of the few resorts to offer an all-inclusive Bermuda experience. They have a swim-up bar to Prospero’s cave, where vacationers can also find a spa. If the spa cave isn’t alluring enough, they also have tennis, snorkeling, paddleboats, and three meals a day. Prices start at $114 plus the cost of the room.

Puerto Vallarta – By the waters of Bandera Bay stands the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit resort. It offers specialty packages, including a Family Experience package, a Wellness Experience package, a Wedding package, and a Honeymoon package. There is a golf course, a spa, and an activities program, which provides snorkeling, kayaking, tennis, water aerobics, and scuba diving classes. There is also a Kids’ Club and a Teens’ Club. The Casa Velas resort is designed for romantic getaways. It also offers a swim-up bar, a private ocean club, a pool, a jacuzzi, and a luxury spa. Prices start at $400.

Cayman Islands – Eating out in the Cayman Islands gets expensive, so having an all-inclusive resort really pays off. The steep drop-offs and the coral in the sea water make this set of islands a world-class diving destination. The boutique resort, Cobalt Coast Grand Cayman, offers the seven-nights Classic Cayman package starting at $1,678 and the five-nights Cayman Escape package at $1,011. They also offer aquatic packages for avid divers. There is also a more private Pirates Point Resort, where vacationers get to dive near Bloody Bay Wall and enjoy buffet-style meals. Prices start at $305 for their Dive package in the low season and $245 for their Just Relaxing package.

Jamaica – The Beaches Negril and the Beaches Ocho Rios are luxurious options. Beaches Negril sits on a seven-mile wide strip of beach and comes with a waterpark. This destination has plenty to offer: their watersports include scuba diving, paddle boarding, and water skiing; they have nine specialty restaurants; and they offer three pools with two swim-up bars; and there’s a supervised kids camp. Prices start at $1,800.

Riviera Maya – The Riviera Maya area of Cancun boasts many all-inclusive resorts in Mexico. They are mainly situated in Playa Del Carmen, though some dot the Tulum coast. One of their top resorts is the adult-only resort, The Royal Playa del Carmen, which can be booked as low as $196, depending on the time of year.
