The 2019 Fiat Spider presents the rare opportunity for someone to enjoy an open-air sports car at an affordable price. Its appealing trims, fair pricing, incredible features, and stellar performance and safety all make this vehicle one to look out for.

Trims and Pricing

The 2019 year model is available in three (3) trim levels. The entry trim level is the Classica with a starting price of $24,995. Above the Classica is the Lusso trim. The Lusso trim has a starting price at $27,795. Finally, there is the time of the line Abarth trim. It has a starting price of $29,290.

Exterior Features

The Fiat Spider is known for its classic lines and performance-oriented style. Standard exterior features of the Classica trim include (but are not limited to): silver aluminum wheels, 195/50VR16 3-season performance tires, a convertible roof, door handles that blend with the body, dual-function projector headlamps, daylight headlamps, LED tail lamps, side-repeater lamps, power mirrors, body-color side sills/skirts, and dual exhaust tips.

For those who choose the Lusso or Abarth trims, there are a number of upgrades that add style to the 2019 model. For the Lusso, these upgrades include: slightly larger premium aluminum wheels, 205/45VR17 3-season performance tires, dual-exhaust with bright tips, and a header trim with premium silver. The Abarth upgrades include: slightly larger “Gun Metallic” aluminum wheels, 205/45VR17 3-season RE050A performance tires, black side sills/skirts, and “Gun Metallic” header trim.

Interior Features

Upgraded features exclusively for the Abarth include: leather/microfiber sport seat, sport leather shift knob with manual transmission, sport mode selector, bright pedals, “Gun Metallic” mirror cap, matte gray interior accents.

Performance

As a sports car, the Fiat 2019 Spider comes with a powertrain that gives it the road capability anyone could ever need. All Spiders come with a standard 1.4-liter I4 MultiAir turbo engine that offers up to 160 horsepower on the Classica and Lusso trims. The Abarth powertrain is tuned up to offer up to 164 horsepower! This inline-4 turbo powertrain is married to a standard 6-Speed manual RWD transmission with a 6-Speed AISIN automatic RWD transmission available as an option all trim levels. In 0 to 60 acceleration tests, the Spider is able to achieve a time of 6.3 seconds. All Spiders also come standard with 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, with Brembo 4-wheel disc performance brakes available on the highest trim. Overall, this rear-wheel drive roadster has the performance to make any drive more enjoyable.

Safety

While style and performance are the stars of this year’s model, one should not overlook the many standard safety features on the vehicle. Every trim offers the following standard safety features: daytime running headlamps on/off switch, dual-stage front airbag, dual-stage front passenger airbag, electric power steering, electronic stability control, enhanced accident response system, front passenger seat belt alert, Parkview rear back-up camera, passenger air bag on/off switch, seatbelt load limit sensor, seatbelt pretensioner, supplemental front seat side air bags, tire pressure warning lamp, and a tire service kit.
